Stello acknowledges the Kombumerri families of the Yugambeh Language Region as the Traditional Custodians of the Country on which we gather, create and connect. We pay our deep and ongoing respects to their Elders past and present, and honour their continuing relationships with these lands, waterways and skies of South East Queensland. Sovereignty was never ceded ~ this always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land. This acknowledgement comes from a place of love. Time spent in the Northern Territory ~ in friendship, in connection, on Country ~ opened my heart to the spirituality, wisdom and beauty of Indigenous culture in ways I will never forget and will always carry forward. I commit to reconciliation through honest truth-telling, deep listening and meaningful action. This is the spirit in which Stello was born ~ to help people understand themselves and each other more deeply, with the same reverence I have been shown by Country and its people. The deep spirituality of First Nations people is unmatched, and I honour and respect that, endeavouring to share this way of living through genuine care and love for all.
